The feedback from the district-level mass-contact programmes would help make timely changes in the Government's policy, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has said.
He was speaking here on Monday after the review of the district-level programme, at the Ernakulam Collectorate.
A meeting of the State-level banking samity would be held later this month to discuss issues like the delay in obtaining education loans. Banks must be more liberal in granting loan to students, he said.
The review meeting was aimed at resolving complaints received in the programme, that were not settled so far.
All legitimate grievances must be redressed. Solutions were found at the subsequent Cabinet meeting, to common problems that were detected in the mass-contact programmes held in six districts, Mr. Chandy said.
He directed the District Collector to speed up the proposal to clean five canals in the city at a projected cost of Rs 15 crore.
He promised to look into complaints of physically challenged people and others who deserve pension.
The others who were present at the review meeting were Excise Minister K. Babu and Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Anoop Jacob.
