Ayyanthole murder: HC rejects bail plea

The Kerala High Court on Wednesday dismissed the bail plea of former KPCC joint secretary and seventh accused M.R. Ramdas in the Ayyanthole murder case.The bail petition was dismissed by Justice Sunil Thomas.

‘Influential’

Opposing the bail plea, Additional Director General of Prosecution Abdul Rasheed submitted that the petitioner was a politician and highly influential. If he was released on bail, it would affect the investigation.

The court observed that the petitioner had been actively involved at various stages of the offence and he was physically present at the time when the victim Satheesh was allegedly taken to a flat in Ayyanthole and tortured to death.
