Indian Union Muslim League State general secretary, K.P.A. Majeed demanded that it is high time that Communist Party of India (Marxist) be black-listed for its association of ‘politics of murder’.
Mr. Majeed was speaking to reporters after inaugurating the State leadership camp of the State Employees Union (SEU) here on Saturday.
“The accused in the political murders were hiding in the party villages. CPI (M) was not willing to hand over the accused to the rule of law,” he alleged.
He said that the investigation into the case of murder of Revolutionary Marxist Party (RMP) leader, T.P. Chandraskharan was progressing in the right direction. The police have identified the accused. He also demanded that the accused in the Muhammed Fazal murder at Thalassery should also be nabbed. “The murder took place in the then Home Minister, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan’s assembly constituency.
CPI(M) tried to communalize it then by portraying it as ‘RSS-NDF’ clashes. The CBI which investigated the case questioned then party district secretary, P. Sasi and local committee secretary he said.
Earlier inaugurating the camp, Mr. Majeed termed the raising of pension age of State Government employees as a ‘progressive step’. Time was not far when the pension age reach 60 years, he said.
He said that the pension age was raised after holding discussions with Government employees. Many posts were created for youth. The protests by the youth organizations affiliated to the CPI (M) against raising of pension age died down due to their correct understanding of the issue.
