Antony plays down crisis in UDF

March 29, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:55 am IST - Kochi:

Senior Congress leader A.K. Antony has played down the crisis in the United Democratic Front (UDF) brought about by the internal strife in the Kerala Congress (M) maintaining that the coalition will soon resolve the issues.

“There is no major crisis,” he told mediapersons after holding parleys with Chief Minister Oommen Chandy at the guest house here on Saturday.

He said the UDF had successfully overcome bigger crises in the past.

This, too, would be resolved. The coalition and the Chief Minister would address this efficiently, Mr. Antony said.

Mr. Chandy, however, declined to comment on what transpired between him and Mr. Antony.

The Chief Minister said he did not have anything more to add to what he had told the media the other day.
