They say it’s not spiritual entertainment and definitely not for the weak-hearted. Only those who love to go on an adventure trip need to join this exciting journey.

The popular ‘Rickshaw Run’ organised by the U.K.-based company ‘Adventurists’ was flagged off from Fort Kochi on Thursday.

More than 100 teams representing various countries will be part of this two-week long autorickshaw trip to Jaisalmer, covering over 2,500 kilometres.

The destinations

As per the official website of the company, the tourists will cover the world’s most dangerous highways, stunning coastal roads, mountains and a bit of jungle. They will take a chaotic drive north and party in Goa before driving through the Rajasthan desert.

The team members updated their journey status on the website. Enthusiastic members posted that they had crossed Valappad after suffering two breakdowns while another team member said they got help from others when they experienced problems after reaching Kunnamkulam.

For the next 11 days, they will click pictures and shoot videos of a dream journey that is sure to remain in their memories for years.
