AIE to operate 173 flights a week this summer

Air India Express (AIE) will operate 173 flights a week as part of its summer 2015 schedule. The services will commence on March 29 and go on till October 24.

An official release said that AIE currently operated 165 flights a week.

The average number of departures on the network would be 55 per day as part of the summer schedule. Other highlights of the summer schedule include increase in operations on the Kochi-Muscat-Kochi route from four to five flights a week; two flights weekly on the Kozhikode-Salalah-Kozhikode route; four flights per week on the Kozhikode-Dammam-Kozhikode route; and three flights a week on the Mangaluru-Dammam-Mangaluru route. The thrice a week round-robin services on Mangaluru-Abu Dhabi-Muscat-Mangaluru route had been restructured as Mangaluru-Abu-Dhabi-Mangaluru (four flights per week) and Mangaluru-Muscat-Mangaluru (three flights weekly).
