How about getting an opportunity to bat in an epic run-chase that had gone down in the annals of cricketing history?
The Virtual Reality-based game, Master Blaster, developed by Tiltlabs, a start-up, offers that and much more. Simulating famous run-chases are among the many modules in the game being showcased on the sidelines of the two-day digital summit, #FUTURE, here.
“The game proposes to bring the stadium home as it is not always easy to visit cricket stadiums, while grounds are fast disappearing. All you need is a wearable VR [Virtual Reality] equipment, controller, and a laptop,” said Nikhil Chandran, founder and CEO of Tiltlabs.
Quick play where the batsman is asked to score a particular number of runs, super over, and net practice in which the batsman can choose various modes of bowling from pace to spin are some of the other modules.
As the batsman-oriented game switches to match mode, the movement of fielders will be driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI), making the game more competitive. The game, which was scheduled to be launched in March, has now been shifted to May.
Two versions to play
The game has two versions – personalised and business – with the latter mainly targeting clubs, which can use it as a simulator for practice.
