Ernakulam district credit plan reviewed

At a meeting of the district-level review and consultative committee, under the lead bank scheme, it was assessed that the overall achievement in the Ernakulam district credit plan was 146 per cent. Deposits increased by Rs. 2,279 crore and advances increased by Rs. 6,259 crore during the financial year 2009-10.

The achievement in the priority sector was 124 per cent while it was 194.48 per cent in the case of non-priority sector. An amount of Rs.338.22 crore was sanctioned to about 5,000 beneficiaries under the educational loan portfolio.

M.M.Monayi, MLA, inaugurated the meeting.

Mayank Mehta, the Deputy General Manager, Union Bank of India, K.R.Jayaprakash, the Lead District Manager, Indira Devi, Deputy Collector, A.V.V.Subrahmanyam, Assistant General Manager, Nabard, were among the officials present at the meeting of the consultative committee.
