4 boats seized

The Marine Enforcement wing of the Department of Fisheries early on Saturday morning seized four boats that were used to catch fishlings for making fertilizer. The fishlings were seized from four boats, named King, Sealord, Heziya, and St. Jude’s, when it was brought for sale to the Mani Bazaar near Pallipuram around 12.30 a.m. A team led by Marine Enforcement circle inspector K.M. Sajeev and Fisheries assistant director T. Saji raided the bazaar and kept vigil near the coast to catch the boat operators red-handed.
