2nd phase of Matsya Samrudhi launch on August 10

The second phase of the Matsya Samrudhi project, aimed at improving fish production in the State, will be launched here by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on August 10 at a function being organised at the Ernakulam Town Hall at 10 a. m.

A seminar on State fisheries is part of the programme, said a press release from the Public Relations Department here.

Minister for public works V.K. Ebrahimkunju will inaugurate the seminar.

K. V. Thomas, MP; Mayor of the Corporation of Cochin Tony Chammany and MLAs Hibi Eden, Dominic Presentation, S. Sarma, V.D. Satheesan, Benny Behnan, Anwar Sadat, Jose Thettayil, Joseph Vazhakkan, V. P. Sajeendran, Saju Paul, T.U. Kuruvilla, Luidi Luiz and fisheries director Mini Antony are among those expected to participate in the programme, the press release added.
