Nominations of 148 candidates were approved at the end of the scrutiny of nominations held on Friday.
Nominations filed by prominent candidates of all major parties have been found to be in order.
However, a final picture of candidates in the fray in each constituency would be known only on May 2, the final day for the withdrawal of nominations.
Observers
General observers appointed by the Central Election Commission for the Assembly elections have reached the district.
A police observer has also been deployed this time.
