August 14, 2016 02:39 am | Updated October 18, 2016 03:14 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

Mention of YSR means former Chief Minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy to most people, ‘Drushyam’ is the title of Telugu a film starring ‘Victory’ Venkatesh and Gadwal is known for handloom saris.

For slain gangster Nayeem and the women and children he had detained, however, all the three names mean houses at different locations. Since he knew that the police and his rivals were always attempting to trace him, the gangster took every care that none got a clue about his houses and hideouts. The gangster had purchased nearly 20 houses in different parts of the State and country. “He apparently was worried of others learning about his locations when the women and children casually mention in their conversations,” a police officer said.

Code name

YSR is the code name he had given to his house in Alkapuri of Puppalaguda in Narsingi police station area of Cyberabad-West. “When he says let us go to YSR, he meant going to the house in Alkapuri,” the investigators said.

Church House and Pink Modi were the code names he had used to identify other houses. He was meticulous even in compiling the data and details of the properties he had acquired. He maintained files with precise information like from whom the property was being purchased, its price and the money paid to different persons.
