January 10, 2015 12:00 am | Updated November 16, 2021 05:44 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

The YSR Congress Party on Friday announced a 37-member committee for Telangana State, including eight general secretaries and three official spokespersons.

Payam Venkateswarlu, the lone MLA the party is left with after two others defected to the ruling TRS, is among the general secretaries with Khammam MP P. Srinivasa Reddy being working president. A meeting of the Telangana State committee of the party was held earlier in the day.

Speaking to reporters later, Mr. Srinivas Reddy said some more leaders working hard for the party would be included in the committee soon.

He said they were working hard towards strengthening the party in Telangana State to bring ‘Rajanna Rajyam’ and to realise the dreams of people who were of the belief that the separate State of Telangana would better their lives.

“We work for bringing smile on the face of every poor person as wished by late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy,” he said, adding that those working sincerely for development of the party would be given prominence.
