Youth suffers seizures, drowns in well

A 17-year-old youth, who went for a swim in a well near his house in Pardiwada, drowned on Friday evening. Police said J. Praveen suffered a bout of seizures while swimming and drowned.

His body was fished out on Saturday morning.

Scooterist killed

A 43-year-old man was killed after he rammed his scooter into a DCM van on Saturday morning.

Police said Pandu Ranga Rao was travelling on Sagar ring road when the mishap occurred.

He suffered serious head injuries and died on the spot.

Woman hangs self

A daily wager’s wife hanged herself in Ghousenagar of Chandrayangutta on Friday evening, unable to bear the torture of her in-laws who have been demanding more dowry V. Lalitha (25), who was married to Ramaswamy, resorted to the extreme step following the harassment.

Labourer ends life

A labourer, Yadamma (50) of Pragathinagar Colony in Hayathnagar hung herself to death on Friday. Police suspect ill-health could have driven her to suicide.

Bodies found

Body of an unidentified man was found at MJ bridge near City College on Friday. The man, aged between 65 and 70 years, was clad in a white shirt and blue trousers.

In Kulsumpura, police found the body of another person, who was aged between 50 and 60 years. The bodies are preserved at Osmania General Hospital mortuary.
