A 22 year-old youth working in a private company was murdered allegedly by his cousin Rajani along with her paramour Srinivas at her house at Petbasheerabad on Tuesday.
The incident came to light only on Thursday after Srinivas told the police that he and Rajani killed Krishna Chaitanya Reddy by offering food laced with poison. He said that Rajani bore a grudge against Chaitanya after he came to know about their relationship. Chaitanya scolded Rajani for maintaining relationship with Srinivas.Fearing that Chaitanya would reveal the information to the relatives, she and Srinivas killed him and kept the body in a shelf in the house.
In a separate incident an old woman was murdered by unidentified persons at her house at Saroornagar on Thursday. The accused entered in the house of Dhanalakshmi (60) in the guise of TV repair work. They tied her hands and legs with a rope and throttled her to death.
