A woman has been booked by the police for getting her husband kidnapped by her acquaintances, suspecting his fidelity. The incident occurred ten days ago, but came to light only on Saturday.

S.R. Nagar police registered a case against five persons, including Prasanna Kumari, who allegedly locked her husband at home and later allowed two men to whisk him away for questioning.

The man, Bhanu Pratap, a businessman, was locked in a balcony on June 26 and June 27 before he was taken away for counselling by two men, Vishal and Praveen Kumar. Bhanu Pratap was kept for another two days in Alwal before he was brought home, where he was locked up again. On June 29, he managed to escape and reach his friends. On Friday, he lodged a complaint.
