March 04, 2015 02:18 pm | Updated 02:19 pm IST - NALGONDA:

A 35-year-old woman Thotakuri Dhanamma died in an explosion and fire caused by an LPG cylinder blast at Domalapalli village near Nalgonda on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was preparing food 8 a.m. on a gas cylinder when her husband and their two children were not in the house. Her kin Venu, who resides in the neighbouring house, told The Hindu, that they heard a massive blast sound and when they came out could only see the house on fire.

After calling the fire service authorities, the villagers tried to extinguish fire and rescue the woman, but by the time they entered into the house, she was dead. Due to the intensity of explosion, the house totally collapsed. Nalgonda Rural Police have registered a case and the investigation is on.
