Woman abducts three children, frees two

April 26, 2012 09:50 am | Updated 09:57 am IST - HYDERABAD:

An unidentified woman kidnapped three children from Peddamberpet in Hayathnagar on Wednesday, but later let off two of them.

Keertana, 7, and Sandeep, 5, children of a labourer couple — Yesu Babu and Pavani — were playing in front of their house when a woman approached the children and offered chocolates in the afternoon.

Along with them, the woman lured another boy, Yakub, 7, of the same locality to a distant place, offering more sweets. She hired an autorickhaw and took them to a grocery store near Gandhi statute. There, she dropped the two boys and took away Keertana with her. As the woman didn't return, the boys went back to their houses and alerted the elders stating that ‘an aunty took away Keertana'.

The Hayathnagar police launched a massive hunt for the woman and are trying to prepare her portrait based on the descriptive particulars given by the two boys.
