When KCR refused to name KBR Park

November 19, 2014 11:30 pm | Updated 11:30 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday refused to pronounce the name of the park where Aurobindo Pharma vice-president Nityananda Reddy had a scuffle with a gun-wielding person in his car.

Refusing to spell out “Kasu Brahmananda Reddy” park for obvious reasons, Mr. Rao said in the Assembly “I don’t want to name the park”, while responding to a demand by Leader of Opposition K. Jana Reddy and MIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi that a statement be tabled in the House over the incident.

However, Mr. Rao read out the words “KBR park” as part of the statement.
