One of the persons allegedly involved in brawl is relative of actor-turned politician
A weekend bash turned sour for two women after unidentified persons allegedly misbehaved with them at a posh pub in Jubilee Hills on Saturday night. Police sources said that one of the persons involved in the brawl was a close relative of an actor-turned-politician holding an important portfolio at the Centre.
The police said Tejal Paransha, hailing from Mumbai, along with a DJ, Faiba Babul, came to the ‘Over The Moon’ pub at Hotel Daspalla on Saturday.
Paransha was taking photographs of those dancing in the pub when three persons strongly objected, picked an argument and even tried to allegedly get physical with them. The duo came out of the pub and went straight to the Jubilee Hills police to lodge a complaint.
The police registered a case under Sections 354 (outraging the modesty of a woman) and 506 (criminal intimidation) read with Section 34 of IPC against the three persons. Sources said the surveillance cameras along with footage were damaged to prevent the police from identifying the culprits involved in the incident. It is suspected that the pub staff may have been complicit in the issue since it would expose the fact that the pub was open way beyond the stipulated time.
Jubilee Hills Inspector D.V. Pradeep Kumar Reddy said that a case was booked against three unidentified persons and efforts were on to trace them. Meanwhile, Allu Sireesh, nephew of Chiranjeevi and brother of actor Allu Arjun, posted a tweet claiming that there was a drunk brawl at a night club and a few news channels dragged his name just because he had visited the place earlier. “I have no clue who, what, why. I’m at home and suddenly people have [are] calling me that my name is on the news channels,” he said.“The club management and police clarified that it’s a case of mistaken identity and I have nothing to do with it. Wish the media acted more responsibly as somebody’s reputation is at stake. The accusations were made on the headlines and clarification only on the scrolling news bar. Sad!” he tweeted.
