There will be no water supply on June 22 and short and delayed supply on June 23 in some areas due to undertaking of repair works.
Water Board is going for a 24-hour shutdown of the Manjeera Phase IV to take up junction works for the 1200 mm diameter newly shifted pipeline for ORR Projects near Velemella village.
Also repair to leakages on 2000 mm diameter gravity line, 1625 mm diameter pumping main and 900 mm diameter sluice valve will be taken up.
The Manjeera Phase III will be shut down for three hours affecting supply of water on Wednesday.
The areas affected under Lingampally master balancing reservoir are: Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Erragadda, Yellareddyguda, Somajiguda, S. R. Nagar, Fathenagar, Sanathnagar, SPR Hills section areas.
Prakashnagar, Hussainsagar pump house, Srinivas nagar, and Boiguda section areas, Balanagar & Moosapet section, part of KPHB Colony.
Areas affected under Hydernagar Balancing Reservoir are: Bhagyanagar section and KPHB section, Jagadgirigutta, Shapurnagar, Chinthal section areas and Adarshnagar, Alwal Municipal areas, part of Malkajgiri and Miyapur section.
There will be short supplies on 22nd to the following areas: Tolichowki, Karwan, Golkonda and Langerhouse section areas. In a press release, the HMWSSB requested the consumers to store water in advance to avoid inconvenience.
Power woes
Power problems continue to haunt the Water Board. Last week there were power interruptions for a total of 9 hours and 35 minutes at different places affecting water supply. As against the installed capacity of 340 mgd, the average supply during the week was 339 mgd only.
There were power interruptions of 7 hours at Rajampet Phase I on June 14, 16 and 18. At Kalabgoor the power interruption was for 2 hours on June 16 and 18 and at Singur for 35 minutes on July 13. The Krishna Phase I and II did not experience any interruption, according to release.
