Water levels up in several reservoirs

Water level in the Srisailam reservoir crossed 872 feet, against the full reservoir level of 885 feet, on Saturday evening as a steady inflow of about one-lakh cusecs continued into it from Krishna and Tungabhadra rivers. The inflows also pushed the storage in the reservoir beyond 150 TMC ft.

According to irrigation department officials, inflows into Jurala reservoir continued around 50,000 cusecs throughout the day on Saturday helping the outflows into the river course stand in the same measure.

Sriramsagar project also continued to get good inflows of over 60,000 cusecs throughout the day as the water storage approached 45 TMC ft against the full capacity of 90 TMC ft in the reservoir. Storage in Singur project also went up beyond 12 TMC ft as against its full capacity of 29.9 TMC ft.

Kaddam, Lower Manair and Yellampally reservoir were also getting good inflows.
