Steady inflows into the Sri Ram Sagar Project in the last three days has taken the water level in the reservoir from 1,053 feet to 1,067.50 feet as against its full reservoir level of 1,091 feet with a storage capacity of 23.610 tmcft on Tuesday as against its full capacity of 90 tmcft. Though the flood flow from upstream in Maharashtra receded from two lakh cusecs the other day, it is still 48,424 cusecs coming into the reservoir. At this pace another two to three tmcf is likely to reach the SRSP in the next two days, according to information reaching here. Meanwhile, the Godavari that once looked almost dried up is full with water at Kandakurthi, confluence of three rivers.
