Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Monday arrested a senior official of the Hyderabad Metro Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) on charges of receiving 1500 bribe. The arrested official, K. Narender is the DGM of the Board’s Uppal circle.
The officer was accused of demanding the bribe to process an application for issuing water connection to a newly built house at Uppal, the ACB DSP S.N. Chandrashekhar said. He was caught red-handed after accepting the bribe in his house. The arrested officer would be presented before a court.
