Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy has inaugurated another ‘Any Time Water’ kiosk, known as water ATM near Nalgonda crossroads on Thursday, which would dispense water for a price.

Nominal charges

Purified water will be made available at a payment of ₹ 2 per litre, and ₹ 20 per 20 litres of water at the machine, through a tie up between GHMC, HMWSSB and Natures Spring Eco Tap Pvt Ltd.

The machines use technology provided by Josab India, a subsidiary of Josab International.

It would retain minerals in the water during purification. The first such machine was set up near NTR Marg recently.

500 kiosks

Water Board has agreed to provide water for the machines, while GHMC is giving land. A total of 500 such kiosks will be set up across the city by the year-end, Mayor Bonthu Ram Mohan said. MLA Ahmed Bin Balala too was present along with officials.
