Wage hike for outsourced GHMC staff

The Government issued an order on Wednesday increasing the wages of the outsourced staff of GHMC once again after two years.

The staff in two categories will get a hike of ₹1500 per month through the latest hike.

In the first category, including sanitation workers, entomology field workers, entomology superior field workers, transport workers and veterinary workers, the salary has been increased from the existing ₹12,500 to ₹14,000 per month. In the second category with the posts sanitary field assistant and entomology field assistant, the salary has been increased from Rs.13,000 to Rs.14,500.

Last time, the wages were increased on August 14, 2015 for three categories, including transport drivers.

The GHMC standing committee has approved the wage hike proposals and forwarded them to the state government.
