Pune is the next city where DocOnline, which is backed by Sweden-based entrepreneurs and investors, is planning to expand operations.

Addressing presspersons at the launch here, CEO and co-founder Markus Moding said by end of 2018, the services would be launched in five more cities and a few cities abroad. Such online consultation facilities (with general practitioners), he added, would over time reduce the burden on hospitals and result in better utilisation of the expertise of specialist doctors. COO Rahul Paith said the portal primarily provides cover for all pre-hospitalisation needs.

CTO Sai Prasad Chakkilam the portal can be accessed even by those with feature phone. Under the B2C segment services, an individual can avail unlimited consultation services at an introductory price of ₹700 per month that covers up to three family members.
