Verdict on conduct of PGMET on Friday

Justice P. Naveen Rao of the AP High Court on Tuesday announced that the final judgment on the writ petition filed challenging the decision to conduct Post-Graduation Medical Entrance Test (PGMET) – 2014 afresh will be delivered by Friday. The judge heard the arguments of S. Ramachandra Rao , former advocate general on behalf of the petitioners and A. Sudershan Reddy , advocate general on behalf of the government at length. Senior Counsel appearing for some students said that a new entrance exam should be held. Dr M Vikram Reddy and 90 others sought directions to the concerned authorities to conduct counselling for admissions to PG courses in pursuance of PGMET - 2014 after revising the PGMET merit list by deleting the names of the 29 suspects involved in the scam.
