Unprecedented arrangements are being made for the TRS public meeting commemorating its 16th Foundation Day here on Thursday.

Arrangement essential for a gathering of more than 10 lakh people in severe summer heat conditions are being made. It was decided to erect small overhead showers all over the sprawling 300-acre ground to create some cool atmosphere.

A massive dais was built at a height of 10 feet to accommodate 500 persons. Another dais was set up little way to facilitate performances of cultural troupes, which would entertain the audience explaining the achievements of the Government.

The party leaders will burst crackers for one and half hours before the start of meeting. In-charge of the arrangements Peddi Sudarshan Reddy and Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao said that 18 health camps would be functioning and 12 ambulances made available for any health exigency at the meeting venue. Besides 20 water tankers, 20 lakh water sachets, 10 lakh butter milk sachets would be distributed to people.

The whole of venue wore a festive look with about 2,000 huge pink flags covering the entire ground. Twenty huge cut-outs of Chief Minister KCR of 60 feet height were erected around the venue. Another 60 cut-outs of 40 feet height were also erected all over the place.

The party has also sought permission from the Railway authorities to run train at slow speed as the venue was just behind the tracks between Warangal and Kazipet so that people do not miss the speeches of leaders. Trains would be operated at 10 km speed during those two or three hours in evening hours.

Mr. Sudarshan Reddy said that they left no stone unturned to make the event a big success and a record-breaking one. “After the Chief Minister announced financial assistance of ₹ 4,000 per acre to farmers, now more farmers from all districts are keen on attending as a gesture of thanks giving. We are forced to make arrangements to accommodate more number of people and ensure their safety till they return home after the meeting is over,” he said.

Mr. Harish Rao appealed to people to turn up in large numbers without fear. “Unlike other parties or meetings, we have decided to stay here at the spot the whole night monitoring people going back to their villages safely,” he said.
