Devotees visiting the Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Devasthanam in Vemulawada temple town can now book various sevas (puja rituals) and accommodation facilities through mobile phones, at least a week in advance.

Thanks to the newly-launched T-App Folio, devotees can secure accommodation at a click of their mobile phone.

System in place

They can make online payments through the app with debit and credit card, net banking, UPI or T-wallet. After the booking, a receipt would be sent to the devotees’ registered e-mail id. They will have to produce the print-out of the receipt at the temple’s reception counter.

Earlier, the devasthanam had introduced online booking of puja and accommodation through “MeeSeva” services, which received a lukewarm response from the pilgrims.

Online bookings through MeeSeva was launched on December 1, 2016.

Mild response

However, till date only 142 devotees had used the services for booking accommodation and 232 devotees for booking various puja rituals such as kalyanam, maharudraabhishekham, annapuja, abhishekam, kodemokku, mahalingarchana etc.

Temple authorities hoped that the devotees would now use the T-App Folio for online booking for their own convenience instead of going to the MeeSeva centre for online bookings.

Launching campaign

They also said that they would launch campaign through pamphlets and hoardings to educate people about the T-App Folio.
