An unidentified person made an unsuccessful attempt to steal valuables from the house of actor Mahesh Babu at Jubilee Hills on Thursday night.
Covering his face with a handkerchief, the intruder entered the house by jumping over the compound wall. He then came to the first floor by scaling a pipe and made his way to the room through the balcony, when the domestic help heard some sound. She immediately raised an alarm, but by the time security guards posted at the main gate reached the spot, the miscreant escaped through the bathroom.
Efforts are on to examine video footage collected from surveillance cameras, a police officer added.
