Police said Ramachandra Chari, 35, went to washroom to attend nature's call and escaped by jumping from the window.

He was arrested in connection with a theft case that was reported at Domakunta police station in Nizambad district a few weeks ago and later sent to the prison in the district.

On Wednesday, he complained of some health problem following which jail authorities shifted him to OGH.
