Two women labourers succumbed to injuries after a retaining wall of a cellar they were constructing collapsed on them, at a site under the Madhapur police station limits. Their husbands, who were also working there, however escaped with minor injuries and were shifted to a hospital nearby. According to a senior police official, the incident took place at about 10 am at an under-construction site near Kondapur.
The two deceased persons were identified as A. Bharathamma, a native of Nizamabad district and P. Kistamma, a native of Medak district.
"We found one of the bodies, and will soon bring out the other one from underneath the rubble," said the official. Police officials, who were still at the incident site, said that a case will be registered after ascertaining facts once the whole operation is over.
