Two Myanmar nationals were arrested by the Rachakonda police on Sunday for forging identity documents to obtain Indian passports. Balapur police also arrested two persons, including an agent, who helped them in fabricating the documents.

S. Mohan Reddy, Balapur Inspector, said Mohammed Fayaz (21) of Indiranagar in Hyder-Sha-Kotla and Mohammed Faisal (22) of Balapur, of Myanmar, migrated to Hyderabad as refugees for livelihood and planned to obtain Indian citizenship.

Fake documents

The duo approached Syed Nayeem (33), who helped them procure Aadhaar cards by producing fake residential proofs. “With the help of Aadhaar and residential proofs, they obtained the passports,” Mr. Reddy said. The police also arrested Mohammed Aqeel (26), a carpenter, for aiding them.
