Two more reservoirs for city: KCR

July 28, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:38 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Two reservoirs have been proposed in the city for water to be brought from Krishna and Godavari rivers. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who reviewed the water supply works in the city on Monday, asked the officials to identify suitable places for taking up construction of these reservoirs. Officials of the HMWSSB were told at the review to ensure that drinking water supply is supplied to every house. Houses of the rich receiving water supply while colonies of poor and slums remaining deprived is not appropriate, the Chief Minister said. The water board was directed to assess the cost involved in providing water supply to each house and also asked to take up the laying of sewerage pipeline, according to a release issued by the Chief Minister Office.
