Two more brokers nabbed in Eamcet case

Two more brokers were arrested on Thursday by the Crime Investigation Department (CID) officials in connection with the Telanagana Eamcet –II leakage case.

With the arrests, the total number of persons arrested in the case rose to eight. The arrested, Gudipalli Chandra Shekhar Reddy, 37, and Shaik Shakeera, 29, were presented before a local court here. While Reddy is from Jogipet of Medak district, Shakeera hailing from Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh stays in Motinagar in city.

Reddy lured parents of four students and collected money from them. Shakeera contacted parents of two students assuring them to arrange medical seats. They took the six students to Kolkata by flight on July 7. The six students were provided with two sets of leaked question papers along with the answers key.

All the six students flew back to Hyderabad the next day. Reddy was accused of collecting signed blank cheques from the parents of the students. He also gathered photo copies of the marks of 10 standard and intermediate exams of the students.
