The driver of an Innova vehicle and a passenger were killed when it rammed an oncoming lorry near Bollarum check-post on city outskirts on Rajeev Rahadari in the early hours of Friday. Four other passengers of the Innova and the lorry driver sustained injuries. They were admitted to Oxygen hospital at Alwal. Their condition was stated to be out of danger.

One of the victims, Khaleeluddin of Godavarikhani, was an LIC agent, Bollarum Inspector P. Laxminarayana said. He was complainant in a cheating case registered by the Ramagundam police. The LIC agent was coming to city along with a police party for investigation when the accident occurred around 4.45 a.m.

Death was instant for him and the Innova driver, Pavan, whose body was trapped in the mangled vehicle. It completely got crushed while the front two tyres of the lorry came off,” the Inspector said.
