Two senior IPS officers, Harish Kumar Guptha and Amit Garg, who were allocated the Andhra Pradesh State cadre after formation of Telangana State, have moved the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) here seeking their allotment to TS.

Earlier, another IPS officer allotted to AP -Atul Singh- also filed similar petition seeking change in State cadre. With this the number of IPS officers wanting to be allocated to TS rose to three. Mr. Guptha and Mr. Garg stated in their petitions that the formation of Pratyush Sinha Committee which oversaw allotment of officers vis-à-vis bifurcation of united Andhra Pradesh was faulty.

They contended that opportunity was not given to the officers to express their choice or option.
