Two houses burgled

May 23, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:39 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Two houses were burgled at Thondupally in Shamshabad on the city outskirts in the early hours of Friday.

A thief sneaked inside the house of businessman K. Raj Kumar by removing the window grills. As the businessman and his family kept the bedroom door open – apparently unable to bear the heat – he walked right inside and picked up the keys of the almirah kept on the dressing table. The thief then walked away with gold jewellery weighing 200 grams and some cash. A few hundred yards away from this house, another house was burgled. “We suspect the same person was involved. He broke open the lock and took away 20 grams of gold ornaments,” Shamshabad Inspector K. Umamaheshwar Rao said.
