Two held, pistol seized

The Commissioner’s Task Force (south) team on Tuesday arrested two persons and seized a pistol along with six live rounds from them.

The arrested who were identified as Deepak Kumar, (45) of Kapra and Chintala Madhu (30) of Balajinagar, were planning to rob persons involved in hawala money when they were nabbed at Secunderabad. “The duo planned to rob persons carrying hawala money as they usually do not lodge any police complaints and these transactions are illegal,” Additional DCP Task Force, B. Limba Reddy said.

Deepak who suffered losses in his business bought the pistol from Dehradun for Rs. 60,000 from a person Pappu. He ganged up with Madhu who was earlier involved in a dacoity case in Kushaiguda police stations limits in 2011. The arrested persons were handed Gopalapuram police station.
