Duo admit to killing Imran as he pressurised them to repay the money he gave them

October 22, 2013 10:33 pm | Updated 10:33 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

The city police on Tuesday claimed to have solved the murder mystery of Syed Imran, (21), a businessman from Edi Bazaar in Old City, with the arrest of two brothers.

The businessman was missing since September 28 from his house and was found murdered in Amangal in neighbouring Mahbubnagar district on October 2.

According to the police, the accused Mohd Feroz Khan, (33), of Shaheehnagar, and Mohd Afroz Khan, (29), of Asifnagar, took Imran on pretext of a business deal and allegedly killed him near Kalwakurthy in Mahabubnagar district over some financial issues, DCP (south) Tarun Joshi said.

Later, the duo dumped the body on roadside and poured petrol and burnt it to wipe out evidence.

Santoshnagar police registered a missing case after a complaint was made by his family members and took up the investigations. After analysing the phone call details of the deceased and the accused, the police detained the two persons, the official said.

The duo admitted to killing Imran as he reportedly pressurised them to repay the money he gave them in 2010. The police arrested the two brothers and produced before the court which remanded them to judicial custody.
