Two GHMC employees held on graft charge

Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Tuesday arrested a section officer of GHMC South zone, Circle V, Town Planning Section, Mir Mehdi Ali, and his office subordinate, N. Vamshi, on charge of accepting Rs. 25,000 bribe from a person.

The two employees collected the bribe for processing a building permission file, according to a press release issued here on Tuesday.

The office subordinate received the money on the instructions of the section officer.

The arrested persons would be presented before a special court.
