Two get 15-day jail term for drink driving

Two more persons were awarded 15-day jail term for drunken driving by a local court here at Medchal on Friday. The Seventh Metropolitan Magistrate Court Magistrate, Pushphalatha, had sentenced a motorcyclist Krishna, 35, of Karmanghat, and a car driver, Ramesh Bahadur, 31, of Secunderabad, to undergo 15 days of imprisonment. Each of them was also imposed a fine of Rs. 2,000 too. They were caught by Alwal traffic police and found in an inebriated condition near Petbasheerabad police station on Hyderabad-Nizamabad highway the previous night.

Fake visa racket busted

Police on Friday arrested two persons -- Abdullah Bin Ahmed and Mohammed Mubashir, who were allegedly supplying fabricated visas to gullible people trying to find employment in Gulf countries.

The accused were operating a travel agency and duping the unemployed by presenting fake documents, the Commissioner’s Task Force officials said.
