Two arrested for job fraud

The Rajendranagar police and Special Operations Team of Cyberabad on Tuesday arrested two persons for allegedly cheating unemployed youth after promising to get them jobs in the railways. The police seized two tapanchas, a knife and a Tata Safari from them. The arrested persons - Prashant, a dismissed railway employee and Jagan a businessman of HUDA colony in Attapur collected between Rs. 2 lakh and Rs. 3 lakh from each job aspirant. “The duo duped around 10 to 12 persons promising jobs for them through their contacts in the railways. A few also complained that they collected money and land documents by promising to arrange bank loans,” Rajendranagar inspector, Ch. Kushalkar said.

As the duo could not get them jobs, the victims demanded their money back. However, Jagan and Prashant threatened them with dire consequences. Based on a complaint lodged by one of the victims, the police raided their house at HUDA colony and arrested them.
