Twin cities to host Photo Expo and Sign Show 2009

It’s going to be a shutterbug’s paradise. Imagine over a 100 companies related to photography coming together under one roof to exhibit their products. Claimed to be the largest photography expo in South India, the twin cities will play host to the Photo Expo and Sign Show 2009 starting from December 4.

The expo will be held at Hitex Exhibition Centre, Madhapur and will see over 50,000 photographers visiting from all over the country. “We have invited all the major photography companies such as Canon, Kodak, Fuji, Sonny, Nikon, Manfrotto and Photoquip to participate in the exhibition and showcase their products,” said V.V. Ramana, organiser of the Photo Expo during a press conference held on Wednesday.

Apart from exhibits, workshops for photographers will be conducted and new technologies pertaining to photography will also be showcased at the event. “Workshops will be held on helping photographers to improve their businesses, to shoot in low light and a separate workshop will be held on wedding photography,” said Mr. Ramana.

A wide range of broadcast equipment will also be showcased at the exhibition along with film equipment. “A lot of technicians from the film industry will also participate in the event. We will also be showcasing steady camera’s which is mostly used for film making,” added Mr. Ramana.
