The fledgling Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) that was born just two years ago after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and formation of Telangana as 29{+t}{+h}and the youngest State of India has, for the second time, bagged the national award as the best bus transport corporation.

The prestigious award was received by TSRTC Managing Director G.V. Ramana Rao at an impressive function in Goa on Tuesday evening, during the India Bus Award meeting from Goa’s Transport Minister, Sudhir Davalikar. When contacted, Mr. Rao said it was a matter of great honour and attributed it to the effort of every single employee of the slightly over 60,000-strong work force that operated about 10,500 buses.
