TSBIE gets recognition

January 28, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:36 am IST - HYDERABAD:

The Council of Boards of School Education in India (COBSE) has recognised the newly-formed Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE).

The recognition will help Telangana students as the certificates issued by the TSBIE will now be treated equivalent to similar certificates issued by various boards in the country. The recognition has also removed the hurdle for Telangana students in competing for admissions into IITs, NITs as marks will be considered valid for calculating the percentile for them separately and also for the weightage given for Intermediate marks in some institutions.
