The government, which has enacted an industry policy focussed on making business easier, is set to finalise associated guidelines soon.

“In 3-4 days, we will be finalising the guidelines,” Industry Minister Jupally Krishna Rao told a conference on ‘Governance for Development’ organised here on Friday by the Confederation of Indian Industry in association with Telangana Development Forum.

Besides offering incentives and measures making application process simple, the State has set timeframes for issue of approvals. Special Chief Secretary to Department of Industries K. Pradeep Chandra said around 15-25 approvals had to be obtained for setting up an industrial unit, which could take six to 18 months.
