Telangana State Police Housing Corporation Chairman Damoder Koleti has said Government sanctioned ₹ 93.07 crore for construction of police station buildings and quarters at 116 locations in the State, of which ₹ 43 crore was allocated in the current budget.
Also, ₹ 375 crore was sanctioned for 13 District Police Offices and two Commisionerates, for which tenders were being called, he said.
sFor the Prohibition & Excise Department, ₹ 358.25 crore was sanctioned for nine Excise Stations - of which work on eight was in progress and the land for one of them was yet to be identified.
Outlining further details at a press conference, Mr. Damoder said that ₹ 23.15 crore was sanctioned for 137 works to the Fire Services, of which 22 were completed at a cost of ₹ 2.58 crore.
Other projects sanctioned include ₹ 6.68 crore exclusively for chain-link fencing for swimming pools, barracks and training blocks of Greyhounds.
In addition, the corporation he said, had taken up various works including front office to the tune of ₹ 30 crore and ₹ 46.98 crore for upgradation of training colleges.
Telangana Police Academy work of ₹ 20 crore and ₹ 30-crore worth work at the Warangal Commissionerate was in progress.
Mr. Damoder summed up by acknowledging the cooperation extended by the State Government to the corporation and in particular, by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
