Industries Minister K.T. Rama Rao has said that the TRS onslaught against the Congress will start from Kodangal whenever a byelection was held there in the background of the resignation of sitting MLA A. Revanth Reddy who joined the Congress.

Addressing a meeting at the TRS office on the occasion of some grass roots level Congress leaders of Kodangal joining the party, Mr. Rama Rao said the scam-hit Congress has now got another tainted person in Mr. Revanth Reddy as he was blatantly caught trying to bribe legislators in the election to the Legislative Council. Mr. Reddy lowered the image of Kodangal.

He said the backwardness that was witnessed five decades ago had again surfaced at Kodangal. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will remain in the post even after the next elections. No one could stop the victory of TRS.

Replying to the charge of Congress that the TRS was a family rule, the Minister asked if the same did not hold for the Congress as its vice-president Rahul Gandhi was the descendent of Gandhi family that controlled the party. Telangana Congress president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and his wife were MLAs, he pointed out.
